Printers and monitors produce colors in different ways. Monitors use RGB (red, green and blue) which supports a wider spectrum of colors while printers usually use CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) which cannot reproduce all of the colors in the RGB color model. Different lighting conditions can also affect how you see the colors.
